The All Progressives Congress in Oyo State has described the death of the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Michael Adesina Adeyemo, as a calamity, not only to the people of the state but Nigerians and humanity as a whole. 

Reports reaching Galaxy television suggest that Hon. Adeyemo, who was in his second term representing Ibarapa East State Constituency, died of heart attack at Jericho Hospital, Ibadan at the early hours of Friday and he was 47 years old. 

In a statement issued and made available to Galaxy television correspondent, Kunle Ojo in Ibadan, the party expressed shock over the incident which it described as a devastating, saddening and unfathomable development which marks a dark spot in the history of the state. 

The party described the deceased as a brilliant, hardworking and passionate player since he joined politics from his legal profession, stressing that his three years was monumental.

The party condoled with members of his family,  members of the Oyo state House of Assembly, political leaders, Governor Abiola Ajimobi and the good people of Lanlate and Ibarapaland in general.
