FG Moves to Initiate Schemes to Grow Medium Enterprises
As part of the efforts to stimulate direct local operations, the federal government is set to roll out the last two schemes of the small-medium enterprise support grants.
Minister of state, ministry of trade and investment, Mariam Katagum disclosed this while updating journalists on the progress of the schemes.
She said the scheme is to create jobs as well as to multiply the effect on the economy adding that the target beneficiaries will be the SMEs registered in Nigeria and must be Nigerian.
She warned against scammers as the registration for the grants is free.
On his parts, Special Adviser to the President on SMEs Adekunle Johnson stated that one hundred thousand SMEs are to benefits from the grants.
27billion Naira has been disbursed so far on the other schemes.
The last two schemes are Guarantee support schemes and SMEs grants.
