Four Chinese Test Negative in Plateau State - Health Ministry
The Minister of Health, Osagie Ehanire, has reported that four Chinese nationals quarantined in Plateau state have tested negative for COVID-19 or coronavirus.
The Plateau state government had reported four suspected cases of the virus on Saturday and placed the individuals on quarantine.
The country's health Minister, at a press briefing in Abuja Monday said none of these cases have shown symptoms consistent with the disease noting that they have all been tested at the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control reference laboratory and they are all negative.
He also noted that the state has placed the Chinese in supervised isolation for the mandatory 14 days.
Ehanire appealed to all Nigerians not to panic as the Federal Government through the Centre for Disease Control will continue to monitor the global situation as the virus continues to spread in different countries.
