Yemi Osinbajo, Abiodun Revalidate APC Membership in Ogun
Nigeria's vice president, Prof Yemi Osinbajo has flagged off the All Progressives Congress membership registration and revalidation exercise in Ogun state, southwest, Nigeria.
The vice president, in the company of the state governor, Dapo Abiodun, the APC registration chairman and the governor of Niger state, Abubakar Sanni Bello, members state executive of the party in Ogun presented himself for validation at his ward 01, unit 003 Egunrege in Ikenne, Ikenne local government area of the state and the home state of the late sage, Chief Obafemi Awolowo.
The arrival of the vice president signalled the commencement of the registration and revalidation exercise in the state.
Among the dignitaries at the occasion include the governours of Ogun and Niger states, a chieftain and national leader of the party, Chief Olusegun Osoba, members of the national assembly members of the state executive of the party in the stare, among others.
As expected, the vice president made himself available to the revalidation exercise before his ward chairman, Olusegun Awomuti.
After his revalidation, the vice president made a clarion call to party members to come out in large numbers to register but was quick to harp on the unity of purpose for the development of the country.
The vice president expressed confidence in the ability of the newly appointed service chiefs towards finding solutions to the security challenges just as he asked Nigerian to resist any plots and attempt to destabilize the country, saying that the country's strength lies in its diversity.
The Ogun state governor used the occasion to assure party members and new entrants to the party of equal opportunity.
The governor of Niger state who is also the chairman of the registration and revalidation committee asked members to comport themselves peacefully during and after the exercise.
This done, the Ogun state governor, Dapo Abiodun proceeded to his ward 1 unit 3 Itaosanyin Iperu home town for the revalidation of his membership
