Insurgency: FG Vows to Support Armed Forces
The Federal Government has vowed to support and provide all the required support for the Nigeria military and other security agencies.
Minister of Defence, Major Gen. Bashir Magashi rtd. made the disclosure during the decoration of the newly promoted officers of Air Airforce in Abuja, Friday.
General Nagashi urged the officers not to relent in the fight against terrorism, banditry and all other forms of criminality in the country.
While reminding them of their mandate to preserved national security and territorial integrity of the country, the minister urged the Nigerian Armed forces and other security agencies to evolve new strategies to ensure safety and security in the country.
Earlier, the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sodique Abubakar, said, ‘Promotion no doubt’ is a management tool that is used to enhance productivity by recognizing hard work, commitment and diligence in every organization including the military.
Abubakar urged other colleagues who have not benefitted from the promotion exercise not to relent in the service to their fatherland.
He commended President Muhammadu Buhari for his support and enablement to the Service and his vision towards a secure and more prosperous Nigeria.
