The Delta State Government has confirmed ten new cases of the dreaded Coronavirus pandemic bringing its total to ninety-eight.

This was disclosed by the state commissioner for information Mr. Charles Aniagwu in a statement made available to Galaxy news,

He said five patients were also discharged from the various isolation and treatment centres across the state.

With the latest development, Delta now has sixty-eight active cases while twenty-two patients have been discharged and recorded deaths stood at eight.

The state information commissioner commended the health workers for their selfless service and advised Deltans to always imbibe the culture of handwashing, social distancing and report suspected cases to the state health ministries.
