The under 20 female Volleyball national team is now set to represent Nigeria at the African nation’s cup in Kenya.

The girls who have been in camp in Kaduna for the past six weeks in preparation for the tournament expressed optimism they will excel.

 President of the Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF), Eng. Musa Nimrod hinted that the federation had selected young girls to fuse into the senior national team as part of its developmental programme of enhancing the capacity of the players.

 Also the technical director of NVBF, Martins Melande disclosed that 20 girls were in camp but twelve are expected to travel to Kenya for the African under 20 girls’ championship.

 A representative of the team, Amaka Urazulike said the team is thoroughly prepared to give their best during the competition.
