The deputy governor of Oyo State, Engr. Rauf Olaniyan has hailed the judgment of the Supreme Court which upheld the victory of governor Seyi Makinde as the duly elected governor in the state.

Recall that the governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress in the state, Bayo Adelabu after the judgment of the appeal court in Ibadan took the case to the Supreme Court.

Correspondent Kunle Ojo reports that Engr. Olaniyan while speaking with journalists in Ibadan says the judgment is a victory for the people of Oyo state, adding that residents should continue to be law-abiding.

Also, the publicity secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party in the state, Akeem Olatunji described the judgment as well deserved, stressing that now that the distraction is over, governor Makinde would focus on good governance in the state.
