Comfort Amwe Becomes the only Female Law Maker in North-West
The independent national commission INEC has declared Comfort Amwe of the Peoples Democratic Party as the winner of Saturday rerun election in sanga constituency for the state house of assembly seat.
The returning Officer professor Salihu Musa who declared the results says the PDP candidate polled 19,815 votes to beat her closest rival of the All progressives congress Haliru Dangana who pulled 19,688 votes.
Comfort Amwe used the opportunity to call on women in the north and indeed Nigeria at large to join politics
The victory of Comfort Amwe makes her the only female lawmaker in North-Western Nigeria.
