One month after the minister of transport Rotimi Amaechi inspected the rail track in Warri, leading to Itakpe in Kogi state, suspected vandals have vandalized the iron rail track with a view to removing them for commercial purpose.

Despite the presence of security operatives watching over the train station in Warri, the vandals took time to cut the iron track from one spot to the other without any notice but could not remove them until community sources informed security agents.

 The disruption of the rail line will no doubt cause huge setbacks as residents in Warri going to Abuja usually use the train to Itakpe because it is cheaper than going by bus or car.
