Police Arrests 3 Notorious Suspected Kidnappers In Delta
Three suspected notorious kidnappers terrorizing residents in Warri, Sapele and Orerokpe community have been arrested by the Delta state police command.
In a statement by the state police command spokesperson Edafe Bright made available to our correspondent, said one Kaduna based Yakubu Yau who always visits the Delta communities to kidnap for ransom was arrested by a combined team of Delta command and operatives from the force intelligence unit Abuja.
According to the police, the DPO Orerokpe division CSP Paul Oboware mobilized the team to the criminal gang hideout in Warri, where two other suspects namely Musa Yakubu and Abdulahi Mohammad who is the third suspect was arrested.
The suspects are said to be responsible for several kidnapping incidents across Delta and environs, as their victims have also identified them to the police.
The suspected kidnappers led the police to the Delta community of Ughwagba community in Okpe local government area where two pump action guns, one live cartridge and a knife which were hidden and buried in the bush were recovered.
Preliminary investigation into the activities of the suspects are ongoing, while efforts are on to arrest other members of theĀ gang..
