Chairman of the Agency, Buba Marwa made the assertion at the NDLEA 2023 2nd half edition awards and commendation ceremony held in Abuja, Wednesday.
Marwa while commending the efforts of all the commands of the NDLEA, reeled out the achievement of the agency between the year of 2022 and 2023.

He noted that, in 2023 they agency ramped up enforcement action against cannabis farms and carry out at least seven successful major operations leading to the discovery and destruction of over 206 hectares of cannabis Seeds.

The chairman also explained that, the agency war against drug abuse undertaking that is wider across the country was on the up in the period under review, adding the frequency and intensity of advocacy throughout the year improved considerably.

Marwa stated that every officer of NDLEA is expected to work within the ambit of the core values and strictly adhere to the standard operating procedures of the agency. He urged the officers to be selfless and sacrificial to the make the country a drug free society.
