A Coalition of Civil Society Organizations has described falsehood, the controversial printing of 60billion naira by the Central Bank of Nigeria raised by the governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki.
The Governor had alleged that 60 billion Naira was printed by CBN and the federal government to augment for the March 2021 FAAC allocations.
President of the group, Bassey Etuk who spoke on behalf of the group today in Abuja, said that after due consultations and enquiries, the group discovered that the allegations are falsehood capable of distorting progress recorded and as a campaign to smear the effort of a performing Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria.
He further explained that the reports made available to the group revealed that the funds distributed by FAAC are monies generated and domiciled in the federation account.
