IGP decorates 14 AIG, others promises to promote welfare of officers.
The Inspector General of Police, Olukayode Egbetokun, has reiterated the commitment of the Force under his leadership to improve the welfare and working condition of officers and men of the Force
The IGP stated this during the decorations of 14 AIG and 21 CP's at the Goodluck Jonathan peace keeping hall Abuja
Galaxy tv news reports that Egbetokun, who stated that the promotion of the senior police officers is well deserving as it was based on merit and seniority, added that the promotion is an expression of dedication, hard-work and commitment to duty
The IGP charged the promoted senior officers to use their wealth of experience and expertise in restoring police prominence in internal security, while urged them to respect human rights and sustain rule of law
Egbetokun however appreciated President Bola Tinubu for his unrelentless efforts towards the welfare of Police officers and also applauded the Police service commission for their uprightness in approving the promotion of deserving officers.
AIG Yetunde Longe, on behalf of the newly decorated Senior Police Officers, appreciated the IGP and the police service commission for finding them worthy of the promotion,while restating their commitment towards achieving a better policing in line with the vision of the Inspector General of Police
