The Edo state capital of Benin city has been described as one of the most important operational unit of the Nigerian Air Force.

This was disclosed by the Chief of Air Staff AIR MARSHAL Hassan Abubakar during his working visit to the Edo state governor Godwin Obaseki at the government house in Benin city.

The Air Force Chief said threats against the Nigerian maritime space and aerial threats are been checked through the Air Force Base in Benin city, to protect Nigeria,s economic assets.

On his part, the Edo state governor Godwin Obaseki harps on the need for more surveillance by the Nigerian Air Force, in tackling threats posed by bandits.
