Bayelsa election: IGP assures enabling environment
Ahead of the November 16th Governorship elections in Bayelsa state, the Inspector General of police Mohammed Adamu has assured an enabling environment for all aspirants contesting the election in the state.
He gave the assurance in Yenagoa the Bayelsa state capital during a stakeholders' meeting with political parties, Civil Society Organizations and aspirants contesting the Governorship elections come November 16th.
Speaking at the stakeholders meeting, the Inspector General of Police who was represented by the head of operations DIG Abdulmajid Ali said adequate deployment will be made ahead of the elections.

The meeting was earlier disrupted when the Chairman of the PDP elders forum Mr. Francis Doukpola expressed concern over what he termed security breach during the 2019 General Elections in the state which led to violence in some areas.
