A Federal Capital Territory High Court has thrown out a lawsuit by Miss Chinyere Amuchiena Igwegbe ex-mistress of former Imo State governor, Ikedi Ohakim, seeking damages from the ex-governor for defamation of character.

Galaxy's Godfrey Eshiemoghie reports that Justice Halilu Yusuf Friday dismissed the lawsuit, against Ohakim and one Chinedu Okpareke, hinged on the allegation that both men masterminded the spread of her nude video.

The judge in his ruling said the court process of the said lawsuit was defective, as it lacked both the signature of the said claimant and her lawyer.

Justice Yusuf noted that having a writ of summons that is not duly signed therefore deprives the court of jurisdiction to hear the matter, and has dismissed the suit.
